Free Trade Zones

Free Trade Zones are special zones where some legal and administrative arrangements on commercial activities are not applied or partly applied, and instead wider incentives for industrial and commercial activities are provided and physically separated from other parts of the country.

The main objectives of establishment and operation of free trade zones is defined in the Free Trade Zone Law as;

  • promoting export-oriented investment and production,
  • accelerating foreign direct investment and technology entry,
  • directing exports to businesses and developing international trade.
